1. Vamos à Vila
(29 to 31 May – Monchique)
“Vamos à Vila” returns as a meeting point dedicated to celebrating local traditions, highlighting the identity and community spirit of Monchique. This event pays tribute to the region’s cultural heritage, bringing together music, crafts, traditional trades, and the local knowledge and flavours of the mountains in an atmosphere of sharing and closeness.

Carvoeiro’s
Black & White Night transforms different areas of the village into a
continuous celebration, with multiple spaces dedicated to music and
entertainment throughout the evening. The beach and the main square once again
become the central gathering point, turning into a large open-air dance floor
where the biggest dance music hits set the rhythm of the night.
With a vibrant, relaxed atmosphere, the event is also defined by its mandatory black-and-white dress code, reinforcing the party's visual identity and contributing to a unique atmosphere in this coastal village.
3. Afro Nation
(03 to
05 July — Portimão)
Afro Nation
stands as one of the world’s biggest international urban music festivals,
bringing together tens of thousands of visitors from across the globe over
three days. The event combines live performances from major artists, beach
parties, fashion and a strong cultural celebration.
The festival is known for its musical diversity, featuring genres such as Afrobeats, Amapiano, hip-hop, R&B and dancehall, in tribute to African culture. The line-up includes major names from the global music scene such as Burna Boy, Tyla, Asake and Wizkid, among other renowned artists.
(22 to
26 July — Lagos)
The Arte
Doce Fair returns to Lagos for another edition, celebrating traditional Algarve
sweets, crafts and live music over five days. This event is already a summer
highlight in the region, bringing visitors together around local flavours and a
festive atmosphere by the sea.
This year’s line-up features Marisa Liz (22 July), Matias Damásio (23 July), Dino D’Santiago (24 July), Carlão (25 July) and Ana Moura (26 July), ensuring a varied and high-profile musical programme throughout the week.
5. Lagos Book Fair
(1 to 11
August — Historic centre, Lagos)
The Lagos
Book Fair offers a wide range of activities, from book presentations and
traditional games gatherings to exhibitions, storytelling sessions, living
statues, board games and chess tournaments.

6. FATACIL
(21 to
30 August — Lagoa)
The Lagoa
Fair of Crafts, Tourism, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry began in the 1980s
and remains one of the most important events in the Algarve. Over ten days, it
offers food stalls, craft exhibitors and live music for all tastes.
This year’s line-up includes Tony Carreira (21st), Festa da M80 (22nd), Hybrid Theory (23rd), Vizinhos (24th), Plutónio (25th), Sara Correia (26th), Quim Barreiros (27th), Richie Campbell (28th), Nininho Vaz Maia (29th) and, closing the programme, Os Quatro e Meia (30th).
7. Banho 29
(Night
of 28 to 29 August — Lagos)
The Banho 29 in Lagos is a much-anticipated event for both locals and visitors. On the night of 28 to 29 August, groups of friends gather on the city’s beaches to take a midnight swim in the sea. This symbolic dip is said to represent “29” and marks a traditional farewell to summer, passed down through generations. In the city centre, there are concerts and a vintage swimwear competition. 8. MotoGP 2026

The world’s
